IBPS PO Prelims Exam
Prelims are the main and the entry-level exam to get selected for the IBPS PO job. When a candidate successfully clears the prelims, he will be able to prepare for the mains exam. Prelims consist of three subjects that are the English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. The IBPS PO question paper is out of 100 marks. The time duration to complete the exam is one hour. (60 min) English section is out of 30 marks, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude is out of 35 marks each. The time given to each section is 20 minutes. Here speed plays a mandatory role to attempt the entire paper.

IBPS PO Mains Exam
After the candidate has cleared the prelims exam, he can sit for the main exam. Although the pattern and syllabus might be similar for both prelims and mains, the difficulty level will always be more for mains. It consists of four subjects, English Language, Data Interpretation and Analysis, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and, General Awareness. The third and the last stage is the IBPS PO Interview, where the candidates who have cleared both prelims and mains have to give an interview round to get selected for the IBPS PO post. The interview round is out of 100 marks, where a minimum of 40 is required to qualify. For OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates, 35 is the minimum to qualify. Candidates have to face an interview in front of a panel of bank officials. Those shortlisted for the interview round are informed about their interview, through the interview call letter.
The IBPS PO question paper is a multiple choice question paper (MCQs). The candidate should take care that negative marking is there for every wrong answer. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are taken away as a negative marking. If there are any questions unattempted, no marks will be deducted. Prelims exams are out of 100 marks whereas the mains exam is out of 200.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will declare the cut-offs soon after the IBPS PO prelim exams. Prelims are going to take place from 23rd - 30th September and 01st October 2023. IBPS PO Cut Off will be out by the regulatory body soon after 20 - 25 days of the prelim exams and main exams.
