National Testing Agency, also known as NTA conducts the CUET exam annually for the students seeking admission to the central universities. NTA has released the notification for the CUET 2024 application form from 27th February to 26th March 2024. Earlier known as CUET i.e. Common University Entrance Test started with its application form submissions for the session 2024. Candidates need to register for the CUET exam prior to the application form submission. CUCET exam pattern will help the candidates to know about the format of the examination. Candidates will be able to prepare well for the exam when they will figure out the CUCET exam pattern and syllabus. The exam is a Computer-based test & only Multiple Choice Questions are asked in the CUET examination. The exam is of class 12th difficulty level. If we talk about the overall exam then candidates have to take 9 in total which means they need to opt for maximum 2 languages from Section I, maximum 6 Domain Subjects from Section II and 1 General Test. Further candidates can take the CUET exam in two slots. In the first slot candidates can opt for any one language from Section I, can choose maximum 2 subjects from Section II - domain subjects and General test which is obvious to attend. In the next slot they can choose any one language from Section I and maximum 4 domain subjects from Section II. As the exam is divided into different sections, let's learn about them quickly-
Section I
Section I consist of Section IA and IB. They further consist of Language-specific questions. The language skills of the candidates will be tested through the Reading Comprehension passage. The time duration for Section I is 45 minutes.13 languages in Section I A which are - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi. 20 languages in Section I B which are - Chinese, German, French, Arabic, Italian, Japanese, Nepali, Russian, Spanish, Tibetan, Dogri, Bodo, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Sindhi, Persian, & Sanskrit.
Section II
Section II comprises the 27 Domain-Specific Subjects which will be asked in the CUET exam. The time duration for Section II is 45 minutes.
Section III
Section III includes 60 questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, and Quantitative Reasoning. The time duration for Section III is 60 minutes.

General Test - (501)
The General Test Question Paper will contain questions from the following topics:
General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra/geometry/mensuration/statistics taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
CUET 2024 PG Exam Pattern
Just like NTA has determined a pattern for Undergraduates, it has also framed the CUET exam pattern for post-graduate candidates. It is a computer-based test that will be conducted in 2 shifts. It is a 2 hours test that is MCQ-based. The pattern for the CUET PG exam is divided into 2 parts A and B. The marks are segregated as 25 and 75 respectively.
CUET 2024 Marking Scheme
The candidates must know how the CUET 2024 marking scheme goes in order to prepare for the exam accordingly. 5 marks will be awarded for every correct answer whereas 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. In case candidates leave questions unattempted then there will be no penalty or negative marking for the unattempted questions.
For the PG candidates applying for the CUET exam, the test comprises 100 questions for which the maximum marks are 400. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded whereas, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

A- As for the first phase of the CUET exam in July, admit cards were released in the first week of July, in the same way, CUET admit cards will be released in the first week of August for the second phase of the CUET exam.
