Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for students aspiring to make a career in the engineering field. This is a two-level exam consisting of JEE (Main) and JEE Advanced. The first, JEE Main is for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Bachelor of Planning programmes at the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs). Only candidates who meet the cut-off mark set for the JEE Main exam are eligible to write the JEE Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced exam is conducted for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The syllabus for the JEE exam is similar to what students study in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 11th and 12th classes. Many students prefer live classes for JEE preparation.
Referring to books and solving previous year’s questions is a great way to kickstart your JEE preparation. Students can either purchase or download books from internet sources for preparation.
