UPSC CAPF Exam Date 2024

CAPF Exam Admit Card

Admit Cards are out on the official website of UPSC. You can easily download CAPF admit cards by logging in to their website. They are out on August 2024(Tentative). It is mandatory to carry your admit cards with you during the examination as it is the only permit to take the CAPF exam. 

CAPF Exam Eligibility

The candidates must fulfill the required CAPF eligibility criteria in order to sit for the examination. CAPF eligibility criteria for candidates depend on various factors such as age, nationality, educational qualification, etc. 

Age 

• A candidate must be a minimum of 20 years of age and not more than 25 years. 
• For SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen categories, the upper age limit is five years, given as a relaxation.
• For the OBC category, the upper age limit is three years, given as a relaxation.
• Candidates domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 1st January 1980 to the 31st day December 1989, are relaxed with an upper limit of five years.
• Candidates must not be born later than 1st August 2004 and must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1999.

Nationality

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Candidates who are citizens of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to take the CAPF exam.

Educational Qualification
A candidate must be a graduate of any recognized University or Institute.
NCC 'B' and 'C' Certificate candidates will be preferred more at the time of the interview. These qualifications will be considered only during the interview. 

Physical Test
After clearing the CAPF written test, candidates will have to appear for the physical examination. The next step is a Physical test or medical test where the candidates have to pass all the tests to qualify for the interview round. To get selected for the final interview round candidate must pass the following tests -

UPSC CAPF AC Syllabus & Pattern 2024

CAPF exam takes place in three stages. Written Exam, Physical Test and Interview. UPSC CAPF syllabus is out on the UPSC official website. UPSC has set the CAPF syllabus to recruit candidates for the required vacancies. It's necessary to go through the syllabus thoroughly when preparing for the exams. It consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2. 
 

Paper 1 
Paper 1 consists of General Ability and Intelligence. It's a 250 marks MCQ objective question paper conducted for 2 hours. It includes topics like General Mental Ability - Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, etc. 
General Science - General awareness, Biotechnology, Information Technology, etc.
Current Events of National and International Importance - Culture, Music, Art, Literature, Governance, Sports, etc. 
Indian Polity & Economy - Constitution of India, Indian political system, Regional and international security issues, etc. 
Indian History - Co-operatives and Community Development, Freedom Movement in India, Indian Constitution and Administration, etc. 
Indian & World Geography - Earth, Weathering, International Date Line, etc. 

Paper 2
Paper 2 consists of General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension. It is 200 marks, Subjective Paper conducted for 3 hours. It includes topics like :
Part A - Freedom Struggle, Modern Indian History, Geography, etc.
Part B - Comprehensions, Precis Writing, Communications/Language skills, etc.

UPSC CAPF Salary

Candidates who have appeared and cleared the UPSC CAPF exam will get paid according to the details given below. UPSC pays a salary to its CAPF officers of about Rs 51,480. 

Basic Pay - Rs 15,600
Grade Pay - Rs 5,400
Dearness Allowance - Rs 26,250
In-Hand Salary - Rs 44,135
Total - 51,480
