Tier 4 consists of two tests - Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) & Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
DEST - Data Entry Skill Test is an exam conducted by SSC to examine the writing skills and typing speed of the candidates. An article of 2000 words is provided which they have to type within 15 minutes. The exam is for the post of Tax Assistant.
CPT - Computer Proficiency Test is conducted by SSC to examine the candidates knowledge of Word, Spreadsheets, Creating a number of slides etc.The exam is for the post of Inspector, CSS, MEA etc.

SSC CGL Tier 4 is qualifying in nature and carries no marks. Candidates are advised to score good marks in all the three tiers to go for the fourth tier. When all SSC CGL Tiers are successfully completed by the candidates, they are rewarded with the desired post they had applied for.
The SSC CGL Marking Scheme for Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 are as follows-
Tier 1 - Marks awarded for every correct answer is 2 marks whereas for every wrong answer 0.50 marks are deducted.
Tier 2 - It has 4 papers that have different markings awarded.
