IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2023

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern slightly varies as per the posts. However, some of the features are common for all prelims and main exam which are mentioned below:

• The exams will be conducted in an online mode that is a computer-based test.
• Each paper has objective type multiple choice questions only.
• Candidates will have an option to answer the questions in Hindi or English language.
• Also, they will have to choose between English and Hindi as one of the sections for the exam.
• There is a provision of negative marking as well. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 or ¼ mark will be deducted.

Candidates appearing for the post of Office Assistant have to go through 2 Phases- Preliminary and Main exam.

IBPS RRB Clerk

 IBPS RRB Syllabus 2023 for Prelims & Mains Exam

The syllabus of Officer Scale-I (PO) is almost similar to that of the IBPS RRB Assistant (Clerk) exam for both Prelims & Mains. The IBPS RRB syllabus 2023 differs a little bit for Officers Scale II & III as compared to other exams. There is no interview for IBPS RRB 2023 Office Assistant exam.

Logical Reasoning

The Reasoning Section carries 40 marks. Below is the list of topics that are asked from the Reasoning Section.

Double Lineup

• Weightage: 0-5 Questions

Linear Seating Arrangement

• Weightage: 0-5 Questions
• Level: Moderately tricky, Moderate to Difficult, Moderate to Highly time-consuming, Moderate to High Accuracy possible, Requires clean charting with proper technique and step-by-step solving.
• Question Types: Single or Double rows facing each other/away from/each other/in the same direction.

Circular Seating Arrangement

• Weightage: 0-5 Questions
• Level: Requires clean charting with proper technique and step-by-step solving, Moderate to High Accuracy possible, Moderate to Difficult, Moderate to highly time-consuming.
• Question Types: Uni- and Bi-directional problems on rectangular, circular, square, and hexagonal tables. Related to Blood relations or Double Lineup type problems as well.

Floor Puzzle

• Level: Easy to Difficult
• Question Types: Puzzles are based on the floor.

Scheduling

• Weightage: 0-5 Questions
• Level: Requires clean charting with proper technique and step-by-step solving, Moderate to Difficult, Moderate to Highly Time consuming, could be tricky, Moderate Accuracy possible.
• Question Types: Three distinct departments are staffed by seven different people. Each department has a maximum of two employees. Comes in male and female varieties. Some of them are males and some of them are females.

Data Sufficiency

• Weightage: 0-5 Questions
• Level: Easy to difficult
• Question Types: Blood Relation, Scheduling, Linear Arrangement, Circular Arrangement, Direction and Distance, Order and Ranking, Miscellaneous.

Arrangement and Pattern

Ordering and Ranking
