IIT JEE Mains which stands for Joint Entrance Examination Test was earlier known as Indian Institute of Technology -IIT JEE which is a National Level Exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to different undergraduate programs. It is conducted twice a year being one of the reasons why students eagerly wait for JEE Mains Applications. IIT JEE Mains 2024 scores will be accepted by nearly 23 IITs to take nearly 17,385 admissions. According The National Testing Agency has announced the JEE Main 2024 examination date. The examination will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 will be held from 24th January 2024 to 1st February 2024. The session 2 exam will start on 04th April 2024 and continue till 15th April. It is going to take place in 300 cities in India and 26 cities outside India. IIT JEE Mains 2024 Session II Application Form Date has been out from 02nd February 2024 to 04th April 2024. Science student who is a 12th pass out can apply for the IIT JEE Mains exam but 12th scores will not carry any weightage as their admissions will be JEE Mains scores based. JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who fulfil the JEE Main 2024 eligibility criteria are allowed to apply for the JEE Main registration process. JEE Main 2024 will be conducted for admission into the undergraduate (UG) courses offered by the JEE Main 2024 participating institutes. JEE Main Educational Qualification

Candidates should have cleared the 10+ 2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates who have cleared the 12th board exam in 2022 and 2023 or will appear for the exam in 2024 are also eligible.

Subjects in the Qualifying Exam

The candidates should have cleared the following subjects-

JEE Main age limit

There is no JEE Main age limit . Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam in the year 2022, and 2023, or appearing in 2024 can apply for the IIT entrance exam Eligibility Criteria.

Admission Criteria for NITs, IITs, and CFTIs

For B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan :

Minimum 75 per cent marks (65 per cent for SC/ST category) or should come under the top 20 percentile.

For B.Arch in institutes other than NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs:

50 per cent aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics in the 10+ 2 or equivalent examinations.

JEE Main 2024: Subject Combinations for Admissions

Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam to get admission through JEE Mains 2024 into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

B.Tech/B.E: Physics, and Maths as mandatory subjects along with one of the subjects such as Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects.
B.Arch: Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects.
B.Planning: He/She must have passed the qualifying exam with Maths subject.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Droppers

There is no age limit for JEE Main 2024 eligibility criteria for repeaters.
He/She must have passed their class 12 exam in 2022, 2023 or 2024.
Three consecutive attempts are allowed for JEE Main 2024 examination.
Students should have secured the minimum required qualification marks for JEE mains.
Candidates should have taken at least 5 subjects for the class 12 or qualifying exam (Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics mandatory).

I have done my class 12th from NIOS. What is the state of eligibility?: For candidates who have completed class 12th from NIOS, the state of eligibility will be according to the state in which the study centre was located.
